FundamentalVR have been announced as one of the latest hi-growth tech companies to join Mayor Sadiq Khan’s International Business Programme. The programme is designed to select and promote the fastest growing and most promising tech businesses in London. The programme will see high growth businesses in the tech world such as FundamentalVR supported at a range of global trade missions and events.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said,  “London is one of the most vibrant and diverse places in the world to start and grow a technology business. These high growth companies have the potential to become the next global tech giants and I am delighted that they will join me in showing the world that London is open to talent, business and collaborations.”

Fundamental VR have developed a number of ground breaking Virtual, Augmented, Mixed and Holographic simulations for training and education in the medical sector and others.

Fundamental’s FeelRealVR™ system allows surgeons to not only practise procedures in a photo realistic virtual environment, but to actually feel the exact pressure, resistance and interaction between the tools and the different tissue types.

Chris Scattergood, co-founder of FundamentalVR, said, “Being selected for this program will accelerate our global growth and enable us to reach more organisations who are looking to integrate practical and revolutionary VR and mixed reality solutions, such as the latest Microsoft HoloLens, into their business. London is at the forefront of this technology and we are delighted to be part of this programme and to be recognised as leaders in this space.”

The Mayor’s International Business Programme is a £5m programme part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) which aims to support high-growth companies in the life sciences, technology and urban sectors to increase their export success across a range of key markets in Europe, Asia and North America.

The three year programme is being led by London & Partners, the Mayor’s official promotional agency, in partnership with KPMG, PA Consulting, BDO, Benoy and London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
